July Heat ?

Posted at 02:58 AM on July 10, 2009

Hope everyone is having a great summer. I know the last week of rain was a bit much, but the farmers should be happy, and hopefully save the crops.  Always look at the positive side of things. It is great to see 101 site members  and 180 in the forum.  The website is growing and we are coming up to the final draw on July 15 for the Grand Prize of the travel suitcase  (rod and reel), its quite nice.  The GPS we just gave away to a fellow in Carvel, AB, he should never get lost in Carvel anytime soon.

Still looking for the bragging photo of the summer from a member. Who caught the biggest fish this summer. Our next adventure for the Fishing Alberta Team, is to the rockies for some rainbow trout and whatever else we can find.  Have to get the old fly rod shined up and ready for action.

As mentioned, any member who wants to write a article  for the blog is welcome to do so.

I could give some fishing tips, but I always shy away from telling someone how to fish, that the fun about it and the challenge it presents, live and learn.  Unless your out on a windy lake in the cold without a bite, you tell yourself please tell me what I have to do to get a nibble, anyone?

The good news, the cold windy days should be behind us and the water sports should be in full swing. The prime fishing season is here. I always liked the third week of July.  See you next time on the blog where I might have some good stories to tell from the Rocky Mountains.

Enjoy your summer!
